About the founder of the office
Professor Dr. Ibrahim Helal
- Dr. Helal holds Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of New Brunswick, Canada, 1995.
- Currently he is an amortoces Professor of electrical power systems, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University.
- He is registered as Energy Transmission and Distribution Consultant at the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers, and he is a Member of the Supreme consultants Committee of the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers.
- He established the Scientific Office for Electromechanical Engineering in 1996, which designed and supervised the implementation of many giant national projects, such as electrical networks to reclaim 350,000 acres in Toshka, 15000 acres fish farm in eastern Port Said, and the textile city in Rubiki, as well as dozens of hospitals, medical cities, administrative, commercial, and tourist buildings.
- He established the Scientific Office for Electromechanical Engineering in 1996, which designed and supervised the implementation of many giant national projects, such as the electrical networks for the reclamation of 350 thousand acres in Toshka, the fish farms of 16,000 acres in East Port Said, and the textile city in Al-Rubiki, which includes more than 10 giant factories, in addition to dozens of hospitals, medical cities, administrative, commercial and tourist buildings.
- He established and supervised the Electromechanical Department at Hamza & Partners Consulting Office during the period from 1998 to 2006, where he designed and supervised the implementation of electrical works for many national projects during that period, including the Alexandria Library, which won the Aga Khan International Award, the giant pumping station in Toshka, Sokhna Port, the container terminal in Damietta Port, and the Saudi Embassy on the Nile Corniche in Cairo.
- He contributed as a member of the committee formed by the Prime Minister to study and develop solutions to the problem of the major power outage that hit the Arab Republic of Egypt’s grid in 2012.
- He assumed the presidency of the Technical Education Sector in the Arab Republic of Egypt during the period from 2013-2014.
- He contributed as a member of the committee formed by the Prime Minister to study the complete power outage and blackout of the television broadcast screens of the Arab Republic of Egypt Television (Maspero) which occurred in 2015. He also developed solutions to the problem, prepared the necessary designs and supervised their implementation to prevent the recurrence of this outage.
- He received many certificates of appreciation from various entities, including the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Ain Shams University, and its hospitals, for his efforts in designing and supervising the implementation of electrical works there.
- Member of the Board of Directors of West Delta Electricity Production Company and Member of the Board of Directors of Cairo Electricity Production Company, affiliated with the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (formerly).
- On the research and academic level, he published 45 scientific papers in international journals and conferences in the field of electrical power engineering. He also supervised and judged many master's and doctoral theses in the field at Egyptian universities. He also judged the scientific production submitted for promotions of professors and assistant professors at the Supreme Council of Universities in the Arab Republic of Egypt. He also managed the quality system at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, from 2006 to 2011.
